Plot/Idea: Megan Mary’s The Dream Dimensions, the last title in the Witches of Maple Hollow series, is the book equivalent of warm spiced tea and a delicious coffee cake in a darkened room. The Dream Dimensions moves between a thrilling adventure with lots of frights to a delicious party filled with glorious costumes and trusty feline companions. A tale of tangled ancestry and prophecy, readers will savor each moment.

Prose: Mary’s prose has a warm, inviting quality. She shows an exceptional ability to set a scene, filling each with visceral and sensual details.

Originality: While The Dream Dimensions draws from lightly spooky mystery traditions, Mary delivers an especially effective blend of cozy fall vibes with a tremble of fear.

Character/Execution: The sisterly love between Mary’s characters is electric, endearing, and refreshing, while the cat characters bring their own magic to the pages.
