Karen Abrams: Oh, thank you. I’m so happy to be here.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Yes, it’s lovely to connect with you and I can’t wait to hear about this theta healing. So the first thing I wanna ask you is, what does enlightenment mean to you?
Karen Abrams: I remember hearing you ask that question and that always spun my, my mind around, and I think two things come to mind. One is, is having the light on in every room of your house, just in your, I. In your love of self and in your acceptance of yourself and your relationships [00:02:00] and your success and your health.
And I feel like that it’s, it’s knowing that we’re connected at all times regardless of what’s going on. We’re connected at all times and and I do think it’s really about love and acceptance and just being in that space and allowing and receiving.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: I like that and I like the the lights on in the house because many times. Many times in my dreams anyways, the, there’s all these different houses and the houses really represent our consciousness.
Karen Abrams: Mm-hmm.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: so having all, every window a light on is almost like all those parts of our mind. That’s, that’s what how I always visualize in that we use it.
Karen Abrams: That’s all those skylights, you know. I love, I’m a sucker for a skylight in the house. You know,
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Yes.
Karen Abrams: everywhere. Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Yes. Letting the light in from above.
Karen Abrams: Mm-hmm.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: So what I would like to give you an opportunity to share your [00:03:00] story of how you came to step into your healing role,
Karen Abrams: Mm-hmm.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: and take us back to how things started for you and where those big shift moments were.
Karen Abrams: Hmm. Well, I tell you, I decided to be a healer. I think the seeds of it happened early in my life, like around I was 17 and my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, late stage ovarian cancer, and this was in the eighties. So. Basically they said that she would, you know, she would live 18 months with chemotherapy and six months without.
So they were just saying, how long do you wanna live? You know, and I didn’t know that at the time, which I’m very grateful for that. That’s what it was. But what my mom did was she did everything she could possibly do to get better. All things conventional and all things unconventional. So conventional double dose of chemotherapy.
She had a [00:04:00] therapist, she had a nutritionist, you know, she did all of those sorts of things, physical things that she needed to do. And then she went for, acupressure and acupuncture, and she had a psychic healer. And in the eighties, to me, having a psychic healer then was pretty wild and wacky.
And, and so she just covered all of her bases. And she lived, she lived another 30 years I think. Excuse me. I dunno why those making me cough. But she lived, she was 46, she lived to be 76 and it, and she never had another recurrence, which is very, very rare for that ovarian cancer and especially for that time period.
I, I can’t tell you what the research is now. It’s been a long time since then. It’s been about 40 years since then. So, but what that did for me was. I, I finally realized that healing isn’t just relegated to the doctor’s office. You know, that we had always given [00:05:00] our power over to that. ’cause I didn’t know there was any other kinds of solutions that were out there.
And when I saw her working on the mental and the emotional and the spiritual and the energetic and the nutritional and ev honoring kind of every aspect of herself, that’s when I went, oh wow. And that planted the seed and then. When I was much older or at least 10 years older or more, I, no, actually more than that, I, I was in another bystander situation where I had a friend of mine who was going through a lot of things in her life and she, she had started working with this woman named Diana Stibal, who was the founder of Theta Healing, and she was going through some major things.
Her health doctors couldn’t help her with her health. It was just. You know, it was fell through the cracks. And we all know people whose health falls through the cracks of that kind of care. And she was in a, a long-term relationship that wasn’t going where she wanted it to go to. And she had so much emotional baggage that she was alienating her clients.
She had a [00:06:00] temper and, and a trigger. And I remember I used to think about like, I love this person, but I need to stay there, there you can feel that there, there’s an anger there, right? And so. So anyways, she started working with Viana and, and within a, in a, what I think is like a short period of time, she transformed that relationship into a beautiful friendship.
She, her health started to improve and she started finding practitioners who could help her with what was going on, and then she got out of her own way. Right. She got out of her own way. She healed root causes of what was causing her just to pounce on strangers, essentially people who were, who were bringing her, her living and, and she stopped burning her bridges that way because she was calm again.
And then she started making money and it was like boom, boom, boom. So all her brilliance and all her degrees and all that stuff, now everything was like working in the right direction. And so that’s when I kind of. And I always [00:07:00] say it’s sort of like my radar went, oh, what? Ding, ding, ding. And, and money was something that was a big issue with me I had a business and I felt like I was at, at a, a ceiling with it and I couldn’t push to the ceiling and I didn’t know what to do because I was a hard worker.
And so I decided to take this class that Vianna was teaching a basic theta healing class in Los Angeles. My friend was hosting it and after three days of this class, I remember. Coming back into my apartment and just feeling this sense of groundedness and clarity and calm that I had. I don’t know when the last time I felt that, that in, you know, that dialed in and I had been going to a therapist for six years at this point in time because I had anxiety and it, it had become generalized to the point where I would wake up terrified every day.
And I worked with, at this point, I said it was an about a year and a half in, and we had really gotten it down from like an 11 to a three, but three still [00:08:00] had that terror every morning that, you know, and you’re like, Ugh. And then I always had that all day long, but nobody knew. ’cause I’m like, oh, she’s so kickback and she’s so cool.
And, and I’m always, I’ve always been very, very mellow in that way, so people couldn’t see it. And. So I remember in that moment of just that calm and that, that I would almost, that just feeling aligned and grounded and clear that I went, oh my gosh, this anxiety is gone and be, and this was the first time in six years that my body had been out of fight or flight.
And any other time that I felt that it would, it would snap back in. You know, because the default becomes the nervousness, and the anxiety. The lunatics are running the asylum in your nervous system, and that’s when things really started to change for me.
And I signed up for every class I could with, with theta healing and practice classes and everything. I just dove in, , feet first, head first and everything in between. [00:09:00] And things just started to really change for me and. I was able to double my income. I decided really what I wanted to do was to become a theta healer.
I didn’t know how it was gonna happen, but so all of a sudden I had had this other career, which I really liked a lot, and I always said it was a b plus. But in the back of my mind, I was feeling like, oh gosh, why does this not feel like an A? Why am I spending time on something that’s not an A? I mean, I need to do something, and I like it a lot.
It just never hit in that, right in that spot. And, and so all of a sudden it was like, oh, okay. I know what I’m gonna do. And so I kept this other business going ’cause it was still great and it was still supporting me and, and just moved into a theta healing business. And I’ve been doing it ever since and it’s been over 20 plus years doing it.
So, and it’s, I thank God every day that I have it.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Oh, that’s an amazing story.
Karen Abrams: You.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: it’s wonderful that you took, what healed you
Karen Abrams: yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: [00:10:00] went out into the world and helped other people with that. And I see that so often with healers. They go through something that really makes them realize this, this grand awakening or remembering right,
Karen Abrams: Right.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: says, well this is it and I don’t
Karen Abrams: Mm-hmm.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: how this is it or why, but it is.
And now going to become. My pathway and the one that I’m going to lead others down, and
Karen Abrams: Absolutely.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: beautiful how that happens.
Karen Abrams: It’s crazy, isn’t it? I was a lot older then, and I, you’re always thinking, you’re like, how is this gonna happen now? Right? Whatever age you are, how is this gonna happen now? And I feel really lucky and really gifted. And I think it’s also because it’s, how this works is like a coping mechanism. So it’s, it’s, it’s built in that whatever comes your way because we know life is life, right? And things happen that are out of control. Some of them we’re in control of, and we have to be able to cope with it all. [00:11:00] And having this modality at my fingertips has helped me just understand myself and love and accept myself at a whole new level and really bring in a really beautiful marriage and family.
And in life that I think I would’ve been struggling a lot had this not come in. I would’ve just been wondering why it is that everybody’s still passing me by and why is it that I have all of this ambition and all of this talent and and I’m smart and all of these things, and why isn’t it happening for me?
So I was, it, it’s really been a blessing.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Do you find that? I’m speculating now because I’m
Karen Abrams: Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: with the method that other brainwave states allows us to quiet the noise of our Egoic 3D existence and allows us to tune in to , a universal wisdom that is more in [00:12:00] alignment spiritually. Is that?
Karen Abrams: I, I, I absolutely agree with you. This work, what it does is it’s basically like a meditational technique, and what you do is you connect. To your inner wisdom. Some people call that God or universe, soul source, and also your subconscious mind. So that’s where we get the theta brainwave. ’cause that’s what we know you know, connects you to your subconscious mind and together. We’re able to identify what are the beliefs that are holding you back in your life, right? Nothing ever works out for me. I give up. You know everybody passes me by, I am unlovable, I’m unlikable. Those kinds of things that we get from our childhood or we inherit them also. And also, it helps you access all these trapped emotions that you have.
So all that trauma from your ancestors, from you, anger, betrayal, all the things, all the sticky stuff that a lifetime has, right? If you have relationships, all of these things are gonna [00:13:00] happen. Grief, right? Things are gonna happen. So what this does is your mind can talk to your body and say, let’s release those emotions.
And also because of that divine source, that loving source that you’re connecting to, let’s replace it with unconditional love and understanding and compassion and learn the most loving lesson we can learn from that thing, from whatever happened, right? Because we go through intense things in life. I don’t know anyone who’s, so, sheltered that nothing’s ever happened.
Because at the very least, somebody passes away, right? Like somebody, you know. So, so it’s really an incredible, incredible tool to be able to do that because then what happens is when you’ve replaced these feelings and transformed these beliefs into empowering ones, you just naturally start to feel better and lighter.
And so that beautiful snowball effect. Starts to happen. It’s like, oh, I feel better and lighter. I’m making better decisions. I now have better [00:14:00] boundaries ’cause I think I’m worth it. Right. You’re not gonna mistreat me anymore. And, and it doesn’t have to be a no, no, no kind of thing. It’s just like you just come into the game very differently because you’re holding yourself differently.
Right. And those barriers , you feel like there’s something inside of you. What is it that’s pushing you away from taking this great advice that you’re getting from people that you know would help you and you just can’t do it?
That’s a subconscious something. A fear, a belief, another kind of feeling, a trauma or something that’s keeping you stuck back here. And when you’re able to access that and release it and heal it, those walls start coming down. Then you’re able to take those actions, you’re able to take that advice.
Why is it that now I can tell people how I feel and ask for what I want, you know, and, and start to put myself first? And when those things start to happen, your life just starts to shift and, and it’s just remarkable. What, what can go where you can go from there.[00:15:00]
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Yeah, and I think that’s partly because of the energy that you’re putting out.
Karen Abrams: Exactly.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: It’s really a frequency thing too, based on the, the subconscious beliefs, which part of the reason that I really was interested in the line of work of what you do is because I feel like it overlaps so much with dreamwork
Karen Abrams: Oh yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: the subconscious beliefs are revealed in our dreams.
And by acknowledging them and transforming them,
Karen Abrams: Right.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: does translate to a new mindset.
Karen Abrams: Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: the waking life, and I also find the space between and beta. So fascinating. I love hanging out in it. I love the the little games that our mind plays with us when we’re transferring between those brains, wave states and all of the information that we can receive, that if we’re open to it, we don’t have to analyze and make sense of it in that receiving [00:16:00] moment.
We just have to accept and then later we can say, oh, well what, what do I think that means? But it’s really hanging out in that state, making a practice of obtaining that state
Karen Abrams: Mm-hmm.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: and making different brainwave states part of our existence as opposed to
Karen Abrams: Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: being constantly in that one hamster wheel state that we’re confused and we’re anxious and we feel,
Karen Abrams: Right.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: That we don’t have control and that we are a pawn
Karen Abrams: Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Accessing those other parts of our brain that knows a lot more and can help us gain a totally different perspective.
Karen Abrams: Yeah, absolutely. It’s, it’s a very powerful state. And it’s funny because the difference between the beta is quicker, and the theta is slower. I always say that, what’s really important about going into [00:17:00] Theta and accessing your subconscious mind is that’s, like I said, this is where those beliefs and those feelings are kind of, you know, running the show, you know, and, and driving the car and you’ll ride into the rails if you let it.
And so you need a technique that’s gonna get you into your subconscious and change it at that level. Because if you don’t, then you’re just painting a dirty wall, you know? And it’s just gonna pop up. These other things are gonna pop up. All over the place. And, and you’re gonna think, what happened? I thought I was over that. And you’re like, no, you’re not, because you weren’t able to go to, into that space. And it’s so relaxing. I mean, you know, the theta brainwave is the brainwave for creativity and insight and rest and repair, you know, and, and so it has so many wonderful qualities.
And gifts inside of it, and obviously the other brainwaves do too. And, and we’ve also gotta be able to take that and when we come into beta that [00:18:00] we’re, we’re in a better space. As healers, as energy sensitive people in general, the collective is so strong right now, right?
And so you can wake up in the middle of the night and it’s not even about you. And, and so that’s why I love about this processes within this that just help you let go of all that energy that never belonged to you in the first place, so that you don’t, you’re not walking around with somebody else’s fears, you know, who wants to, or their anxiety, who wants that?
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Yes,
Karen Abrams: do that when we love somebody too, right? We absorb their set.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Yes, yes. That’s definitely a part of this whole journey is not only learning how to your experience and share your medicine, what it might be, but also learning how to not take it all on, especially in an empathic capacity. It’s, that seems to always happen first, is that [00:19:00] you, you’re open up a little bit too much to all of everyone’s stuff and then you realize, oh, okay, I am actually taking, taking this on.
I call it being a spiritual porter, you’re kind of carrying
Karen Abrams: Right, right.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Yeah.
Karen Abrams: Yeah. I always think of it as, as being a sponge. And that’s actually why I like this work too, because my mom was a sponge and so that’s why I didn’t wanna become a therapist because you know, you say, oh, I had a bad day. And she’d go, oh, honey. It must be so awful, you know, like that.
I’m like, mom, stop it. Stop it, stop it. So I kind of learned and that we’re very much alike and, and so I learned that, and so I’m like, I can’t be a therapist because if I’m doing that 40 hours a week, I’m gonna go nuts and I’m not gonna be able to take care of myself or my family or anybody else.
And when I found out that Theta actually has a process that allows you to hold space for people for whatever they’re saying to you, and then come out of their space and clear out their energy. Always like, oh, I’m sold. [00:20:00] Okay. That’s what I’ve been looking for. Something where I can still do deep, deep therapeutic work and help people change their lives at a very deep level without coming home crying because I’m feeling something that’s, that happened to somebody else, you know?
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Yeah, and I mean. mother’s story is so amazing. I
Karen Abrams: Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: that she healed herself by doing all the things that were not necessarily at all prescribed
Karen Abrams: Great.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: medicine.
Karen Abrams: Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: a, that’s an amazing story. And even though I didn’t have cancer, I’ve, I discovered the same thing myself
Karen Abrams: Mm-hmm.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: with all my chronic illnesses that that it wasn’t just gonna be, bottle of medicine that was gonna make me better, that it had to start with the mind and the spirit or the body was not going to heal. And so I knew at that time that I had to do all of those things. And
Karen Abrams: Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: that’s [00:21:00] where medicine is going in the future. I think that medicine is
Karen Abrams: Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: better address all the bigger picture, the
Karen Abrams: Mm-hmm.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: picture. I really hope that Western Medicine does anyway, because I know we have all these modalities available to us, but they’re not necessarily recognized as legitimate as the others, and I feel they really are. And I think that the, the energy work is key and that there’s so much that causes disease and.
Karen Abrams: Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: All of that in our bodies that we just don’t understand yet the way

Karen Abrams: Yeah. Absolutely. I’ll give you an example of that, there’s emotional roots to diseases and, and I do believe there’s many reasons that people get sick, right? We environmental reasons.
There can be genetic reasons, there’s emotional reasons, there’s a lot of different energetic reasons. Do everything you can when you get sick. This isn’t to just come to a healer thing at all. And I love this work because it’s such a wonderful support to other modalities. There’s just [00:23:00] lots of ways to get at these things and the more angles you come from, the more likely you are to come up with a positive outcome.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Yes, there’s, there’s just so many
Karen Abrams: Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: com we’re complex and so
Karen Abrams: Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: take a pill and have it make you feel. Feel better. It, it really is a complex approach required, so it’s all those things
Karen Abrams: Yeah, absolutely.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: why I love that you said that she went to a, a nutritionist and a psychic, and an acupuncturist and all the different things because you need to do all of those
Karen Abrams: And who know? It’s the combination. We don’t know which one did everything. And especially looking at these situations where doctors say, oh, there’s no cure. So we’ll just extend your life as long as we can. But while we’re doing it, we’re gonna treat you with stuff that’s gonna make you miserable.
You know? But, but you’ll be, you’ll be alive for a little bit longer, so Isn’t that great? And they don’t want it that way. They’re not, it’s not their happy day either. I mean, they want something better. So, the more we can do together. And, and like when you were [00:24:00] talking about.
Is is, you know, western medicine going to, bring this in and, and I don’t know if they will or they won’t, but I do see that there are much more scientific explanations for energy work now than there have ever been. There’s more scientific research being done about the benefits of meditation and breathing and, and how that resets your body and, and things from eastern cultures that. We used to think was just a big bunch of hooey, right? And, oh, what are you doing that you’re crazy. You’re taking that yoga thing or you’re doing whatever, and like, no, actually this helps this and this, and improves your immune system. And once we knew more about it, then you’re like, oh. And, and I believe essentially that there’s electrical grids that are out there that, that surround us.
We already know that happens even with, with the heart, right? We know through HeartMath that you have electricity from, it’s like five feet above you and all around you. So when you’re, when your body is [00:25:00] out of coherence and that energy, you have heart, mind, and coherence, then that is a, a really sturdy, you know piece of equipment there, boundary there for you.
And, and we can see who has boundaries and who doesn’t. We don’t have to be energy workers to do that. You just see that, you know, you look at somebody and you know how they feel about themselves by the way they carry themselves. So I believe that we’re gonna find more of those and all the work with the quantum field.
I think that’s all gonna come in to more how that really boosts people too
Megan Mary – MeganMary: I completely agree and I’m looking forward to being part of that too.
Karen Abrams: Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Well, I’d like to, for you to share. A sample of the theta healing for the audience
Karen Abrams: Sure.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: really experience that firsthand.
Karen Abrams: Sure. Okay, then let’s do that. So, so what I’m gonna do then is I’m going to go into, so there’s a process that I do and I close my eyes, and the reason I close my eyes is, is [00:26:00] when you go into the theta brainwave state. You’re, you’re tipping off, you’re nodding off into sleep, so you know how your eyes roll back in your head and you’re just kind of.
You’re neither here nor there. You’re kind of like that really spaced out. That’s the theta brainwave state where you feel like, like times stands still. Everything is kind of bendy and wonderful. So I’m gonna go into that state and then ask you if I can come into your space when you say yes. And it’s all per your own, your own permission.
I cannot do anything to you. It would be the equivalent of me trying to throw a cotton ball at you. As fast as I can. It’s not really, it’s just different forms of unconditional and energetic love here, essentially. And so so I’m just gonna ask you things like, would you like to know what a feeling feels like?
Would you like to know what it feels like to trust yourself and and to appreciate yourself and have gratitude for life and things like that? When you say yes to that on a cellular level, that’s gonna come into your body, you may feel it, you may not. Or I might say, would you like to change this belief system?
And when you [00:27:00] say yes, you can always say it in your head, and when you say yes to those things, then you’re allowing your subconscious to change this negative belief to its most loving counterpart and its most empowering counterpart.
So that you can change things and change what you attract. ’cause right when we think and feel a certain way, the universe is reflecting that back to us. So when we think and feel different ways and learn our most loving lessons, then we’re coming from, yeah, a lot happened in my life and I’m really happy about it and that it’s made me, me, and who I am.
So then the universe goes, oh, here’s more things to be grateful for, and more things to be happy for. That’s what we wanna do. So here we go. you’re really co-creating this with your inner wisdom, with the universe and I’m on the sidelines cheering you on and helping out. So would you like to know what your inner wisdom’s, unconditional love feels like?
Would you like to know what it feels like to be completely aligned with who you are?
And know that that’s possible and safe to do so,
would you like to know that you’re [00:28:00] deserving of receiving the universe’s unconditional love?
And would you like to know how to and what it feels like to receive it?
Beautiful.
Would you like to know what the Universe’s support feels like? Very important.
And, and know that you’re deserving of receiving the universe’s support.
And then also how to and what it feels like to recognize the universe’s support.
Okay. Because it comes in lots of forms and some of them are really subtle and sweet and some person coming by you and saying, oh, thank you so, oh look, I found this free thing. I just went to Trader Joe’s the other day. I got a free tin of cookies. Like, oh no, we’re just giving these away now. Thank you.
They’re just receiving it and celebrating and showing you how to celebrate it in the moment.
Alright, good. Would you like to know what it feels like to have a genius [00:29:00] mind
and allow yourself deep insights and ideas and creativity and solutions?
Would you like to know what it feels like to focus on the solution instead of the problem?
Know that you’re you’re deserving of that.
And would you like to know, let’s see what it feels like to focus on what you have instead of what you don’t have.
What is absent from your life?
Would you like to know that you’re deserving of the universe’s abundance?
I know what it feels like to be able to receive this abundance from all benevolent sources, and that includes what it feels like, what money is, and what financial abundance feels like, and allowing yourself to receive financial abundance from all benevolence sources.
And know that it’s safe to allow this to happen,,
and know that receiving financial [00:30:00] abundance is just like loving yourself in another place in your life. just another way of loving yourself. There you go. Good. And what it feels like to feel safe in your body and in the world.
What it feels like to have healthy boundaries and to allow what it feels like to allow other people their own experiences without taking on their energy. Emotion and experience.
We go. That’s a big thing, especially with energy sensitive, right? And and caring people.
That it’s okay for you to put yourself at the top of your priority list and understand from your inner wisdom’s perspective, the intrinsic benefits to putting yourself at the top of the list
okay. Woo. I know that you’re deserving of this. You’re deserving of thriving and. And, it’s possible to enjoy it and thrive without anything being taken away from you because of it.
And that it’s possible [00:31:00] to receive large amounts of financial abundance without having it taken away with another big expense. Those are called financial snapbacks.
And and show you what it feels like to live without sabotaging yourself. That you’re worthy of supporting yourself instead.
And what it feels like to feel content and comfortable in your life.
And that it’s possible to be and feel content and comfortable in your life and still change the things you’d like to change about yourself, about what’s in your life now,
and showing you how to also be grateful at every turn.
There we go and say. Whatever’s going on with you, you can say, thank you, how does it get any better than this? [00:32:00] No matter what to allow that gratitude in that Al also says, this is what’s, this has already happened. I’m so grateful for a loving family. I’m so grateful. I feel so grateful for my friends that I have.
Right? There’s a confidence there.
The more you feel that gratitude, the more the universe gives you other reasons to feel grateful for, and being able to recognize those reasons and celebrate them in the moment. Sources bringing that to you so that you can do that too.
Showing you what it feels like to completely accept yourself unconditionally from the inside out,. Really, truly understand your value, within yourself, your value to other people,
and adopt that inside out mentality with value that. Now, valuing yourself is the most important thing. And then it’ll emanate out to those who value you, that you’ll be attracted to those who value you, and those who value you [00:33:00] will be attracted to you.
and then just what it feels like to have hope and know that you can change things not only in this immediate level inside your life, but. By being in a loving and accepting place in life, by helping yourself and becoming your number one priority, that will give you more energy and vitality to help the people you already are helping and that you will be helping because that’s who you are and that’s your life.
Then let’s, let’s complete this with a body healing. There we go. Let you know who you are from the universe’s perspective, from your inner wisdom’s perspective, with all these changes that will continue to evolve and then bring you back into your body. ’cause when you go into theta, you coming out, so bring you back into your body from the top of your head all the way.
Down your body all the way through your torso, all the way down the bottoms of your legs, out the [00:34:00] bottoms of your feet. Go deep down into the earth about 15, 20 feet, just like you’re going to the deepest pool you’ve ever swam in. And dive to the bottom, touch the bottom, and then bring all that wonderful mother earth energy at the bottoms of your feet, into every cell of your body, all the way up your legs and your torso.
Again, all the way up to the top of your head and open your eyes again.
And there’s your first theta healing.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Wonderful.
Karen Abrams: How do you feel?
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Refreshed. Yeah, there was a lot of very positive affirmations there phrased in a way that it was like, are you ready to accept that this can be true? and I think there’s so much power in that suggestion.
Karen Abrams: right. [00:35:00] Yeah. And it’s up to you, right? If you want it, take it, and if you don’t. Whatever you wanna do, it’s okay. It’s just very accepting and that’s, that’s why I love this work because it supports wherever you are and brings in that energy of just complete acceptance.
Because I know that we tend to we tend to judge ourselves harshly and we’re our harshest critic, right? We’re our own worst enemy. And so when you do this kind of work, it really gets at the root causes of that. And helps you become your greatest ally. And the people out there who are living full and fulfilling lives are people who are their greatest ally, and they can stand up for themselves.
It doesn’t mean they have to fight. It just means they stand up inside for themselves, oh, I got sick. I gotta do everything I can to get better. Oh, I’m how am I gonna get better now? What am I gonna do to get that? And so it’s wonderful to see. I. People change.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Yes. And I think there’s a difference between I think a lot of times people think that [00:36:00] acceptance means I. Complacency
Karen Abrams: Right
Megan Mary – MeganMary: I don’t know, releasing control. There’s also a double-sided coin to gratitude too. I think
Karen Abrams: right.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: with the, be happy with what you have kind of
Karen Abrams: Mm-hmm.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: They, they get confused with how they’re supposed to allow that acceptance, how
Karen Abrams: All right.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: How you embody that acceptance. And it’s, it’s different. I don’t think that it’s complacency. I don’t think that it’s be happy with what you have. I think it’s, almost a spiritual, allowing, I don’t know
Karen Abrams: Right,
Megan Mary – MeganMary: explain that. But that’s how it felt when you were saying, and are you ready to believe that this will be
Karen Abrams: Mm,
Megan Mary – MeganMary: to accept this? Are you ready to embody this? Are you ready to allow this?
Karen Abrams: mm-hmm.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: can happen, but you’re not allowing it.
Karen Abrams: Right?
Megan Mary – MeganMary: that’s, I think the key is removing those blocks to
Karen Abrams: Mm.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: it.
It’s already there. You’re just not allowing it.[00:37:00]
Karen Abrams: Yeah. I think it’s a co-creation, right? And, and you’ve gotta, you’ve gotta find out, what’s going on and where’s that energy playing and, and but yeah, you’ve gotta be able to receive it. Mo most things are around. If you’re not getting it, then it’s, , it could be love, it could be money, it could be health, but there’s usually component of, are you receiving and are you receiving at the level that you’re giving?
Because a lot of women, especially, ’cause I work with a lot of people who have that they, they’re taking care of their kids. They’re taking care of their parents. They’ve got their own either jobs or professions. I work with a lot of entrepreneurs and so they give and give and give and then they don’t have anything for themselves and they’ve been quietly breaking all these promises to themselves so they feel so deflated and.
Out of alignment. And when you, when you bring yourself back into that space of no, I, I do matter. I mean, I knew it intellectually and I used to know it even another way, but now I have so many people to deal with. Right. You forget and you come back and just remind yourself and [00:38:00] allow yourself to have a break and allow yourself to have, time.
I work with people. One-on-one. And then I also work in class situations and, this class that I’m teaching right now, people are coming back and saying, oh, I let myself rest. You know that one where you’re like, oh, I can’t rest. I can’t rest. Right. I’ve got so much to do.
I can’t do it. I can’t. I allow myself to rest now, and I feel so much better. Like, you know, these are,
Megan Mary – MeganMary: thing.
Karen Abrams: it’s a big, it’s a big deal. Yeah.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: Yeah. And mentally rest too,
Karen Abrams: Oh gosh. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely.
Megan Mary – MeganMary: mentally rest.
Karen Abrams: yeah, yeah.

Karen Abrams: Sure. You’re gonna get like that. Little healing that we just [00:39:00] did a series of energetic downloads in a theta healing. Called get out of your own way. So it’s geared to help you heal self-sabotage, which I don’t know about you, but I think everybody like has some at some point in time, right?
We have it in certain places and other places we don’t. So anyways, when you listen to this, it’s about, I think about five minutes long. It’s not very long at all if you listen to it right before you go to bed, as you know, whatever you’re listening to and whatever you’re exposed to right before you go to sleep is what your subconscious marinades in for your whole.
The whole night. So if you can take a five minute thing and have it extend to seven hours or eight hours of benefit, I would do it. And the more you use it’s like anything else, like the learning comes with the consciousness. It changes. So as, as certain things start healing from doing this work, then other things start healing.
And so the more you use it, it has a cumulative effect. It’s wonderful. You’ll like it. It’s really fun.
