I recently was interviewed by fellow fantasy author, T F Burke, in preparation for my upcoming appearance on Strong Women Strange Worlds, June 18th.
In this interview, I share the inspiration behind my Witches of Maple Hollow trilogy, the dream that sparked it all, my love of immersive sensory storytelling, and the surprising real-life event that echoed one of the most dramatic scenes in my books.
What’s one small detail or bit of lore in your work that you secretly love?
When writing book three, The Dream Dimensions, I knew I wanted to incorporate astronomy and tie it to Halloween, but I thought initially that these were two disparate concepts that didn’t go together. I was shocked and validated when I discovered that they actually have a powerful connection, which is revealed at the end.
